Is Benjamin Moore Louisburg Green a Good Paint Color for Interiors?

Benjamin Moore Louisburg Green

Benjamin Moore Louisburg Green can be a great choice for you if you are looking for a classic green color.

This color is known for its soft and muted vibes and you will also notice gray undertones in it.

These gray undertones help the green to appear more balanced and subtle.

When applied on the walls, a homey and enduring atmosphere can easily be created in the living room, bedrooms and even the exterior.

Because the shade is not overly bright which will give a sense of calmness and depth in the room.

You can pair it with white, soft neutrals and wood accent allowing the house to be more harmonious.

However if your room receives very little natural light, the color should be tested first as its deeper tone may look slightly heavier in the dim lighting.

Benjamin Moore Louisburg Green Color Review: Undertones, LRV and Lighting

Having grown up reading a lot of fairytale stories, I always found myself gravitating towards the homes that felt calm, elegant and deeply connected to nature.

Like a home that is inspired by nature and something peaceful and inviting for anyone who stepped inside. That search eventually led me to Benjamin Moore Louisburg Green HC-113, a soft, soothing gren that instantly uplifted my home’s visual appeal.

Choosing the color was easy for me. The tricky part was figuring out how to use it in my home interiors.

Undertones

When you look closely at BM Louisburg Green, you will notice that soft gray and slightly blue undertones. Because of these undertones, the color doesn’t look too bright or a grassy green.

Instead a refined and muted appearance is created which makes the shade feel more classic.

Depending on the lighting and surrounding decor a slightly cooler green tone can be noticed which is why this shade looks good in traditional and heritage inspired interiors.

The gray undertones of it make it calm and balanced.

LRV

Louisburg Green BM LRV is approx. 33.79 which means a moderate amount of light is reflected.

So when you apply this on the spaces of the house you will observe a deep but not extremely dark house.

Because of its mid range lrv, a dimmer or limited light room appears moodier and cozier.

With this lrv, you can pair it with any light colors like soft beiges, whites or dark greens.

The lrv of this color makes it very versatile and suitable for all house styles and spaces.

Lighting Effect

Lighting plays a very crucial role in how Louisburg Green is perceived in your home.

In rooms where plenty of natural light is received you will see the green tone appear softer and more balanced.

On the other hand, in a north-facing or dimly lit room, the gray undertones become more visible and deeper.

While in the bright room or south facing room you will see a shinier, brighter and truer color of it.

Maintenance and cost

Maintenance depends on what type of product and sheen you are going to choose for the house.

The higher the sheen the less maintenance required such as semi-gloss and gloss finishes just need a wipe to clean while matte finishes are harder to clean.

The cost also varies based on the quantity and quality of the paint that you will use in the interior.

The matte finish costs around $58 while the gloss can go up to $69.

The aura, regal or Advance product line prices can go up to 100 dollars per gallon.
