Have you ever seen a color that unveils different hues in a way that amazes people and forces them to think about it the whole day?

Benjamin Moore Night Train definitely is that color, trust me.

This color can look classic, modern and organic just by chaining the decor and the materials.

This versatility is surely one of its features that provides homes with what they need.

It has a green, blue and gray color combination that blends in different lighting and decor of the house.

This color is very mysterious and can surprise you with its undertones in various dimensions of the house.

With its low lrv, the spaces will become comfy and warm while your mind will go into a rest mode.

I’m saying all of this with my own experience and trials when I was searching for an interior color.

Whether it’s your bathroom or bedroom, you just cannot put the urge of painting the whole interior with Benjamin Moore Night Train 1567 aside.

What Color Is Benjamin Moore’s Night Train?

Benjamin Moore Night Train 1567

Night Train BM 1567 has a variety of hues to it which include blue, green and gray.

However, the main color of Benjamin Moore Night Train is blue-gray which is very smoky and velvety.

Its rich undertones make the interior more sophisticated and luxurious.

With a low LRV of around 21-22, Night Train 1567 is deep enough to make a space in-closed but softer and more complex than other navy.

The color code of BM’s Night Train is 1567 and the hex is #7A847F– a muted gray-blue, cool color.

You can use this color in the accent walls, trims and in the furniture to shift the interior from basic to premium.

When you apply this color in your interior, you will find it to be historic yet somehow very modern.

Is Benjamin Moore Night Train 1567, Smoky Mountain AC-18 and Benjamin Moore Night Train CC-720 the same?

Benjamin Moore Night Train 1567, Smoky Mountain AC-18 and Night Train CC-720

Yes, Benjamin Moore Night Train 1567, Smoky Mountain AC-18 and Night Train CC-720 are basically the same color that are just listed differently under various codes and collections.

Benjamin Moore Night Train 1567 is the main and original color that is listed in the Benjamin Moore Classics collection.

Smoky Mountain AC-18 is another name for the same color which is used in the color palette of most American households.

Night train CC-720 is the same shade as the above ones but just has a different code in the Designer Collection.

In short, they are just labeled differently according to the specific product line or collection but perform the same.

Don’t get confused with these paint names and codes but for extra surety before purchasing, thoroughly check the paint, brand and code.

What is the LRV of Benjamin Moore Night Train 1567?

The LRV of a color represents how much or how little light that color is going to reflect against the house interior.

The value is given to the color out of 100 the closer they are to 100 the brighter and more reflective they are and vice versa.

The LRV of Benjamin Moore Night Train is 22.8, which means it is a mid-range color that reflects moderately.

In the natural sunlight, the room will be warm and a little bright whereas in the evening, the color turns into a soft and cozy natural green.

The blues tones are only visible in the ambient lighting and atmosphere making the space cooler and bluer.

Night train 1567 by BM can look greener like forest leaves in the afternoons or dim light.

What are the undertones of Benjamin Moore Night Train?

The undertones of Benjamin Moore Night Train consist of deep and muted blue-gray with a vivid layer of undertones that are not easy to detect.

It is neither a pure navy nor a soft gray that you usually see.

The undertones and their visibility depend on the lighting and the surroundings of that space.

The prominent and noticeable undertone is blue which is most visible in the cool or bright lights.

This undertone helps in preventing Night Train from looking muddy and overly green and also refines the whole appearance.

The gray undertones offer a softer blue in the presence and offer a sophisticated and versatile feel to the house.

The green undertones of it become visible in the afternoon light and cover the room in beige or taupe layers.

If your room has wood-tone furniture or accents, then Night Train 1567 green undertone will surely say hi to you.

Benjamin Moore Night Train Review: My Personal Take On This Color

BM Night Train 1567 on Library Shelves and Cabinets

I was searching for a color that is modern but still gives a royal feel to the house interior.

And in future, if I want to change the interior from modern to a classic one then it would not take me much effort or a 360-degree change.

My whole space now thanks me for inviting such a dreamy and natural color into the interior.

The calmness this color has, makes me wonder if it is a blue sky feel or a being in the forest vibe.

The vastness and vividness of Benjamin Moore Night Train just can’t fit in one room.

That’s why I painted the whole house in this blue-gray, green color.

Night Train 1567 On A Real Wall Surface

Whenever I lie down on my bedroom bed, the walls painted in Benjamin Moore Night Train hug me warmly and calm my mind.

The kitchen cabinet now looks balanced with brightness and depth, perfect for healthy-diet motivation.

When I first applied this paint the color looked just green and blue but as the day goes by it changes color like a chameleon.

In the morning, soft blue and green, in the evening a greener color and in the LED lights it appears a blue with cool undertones.

How To Maintain It To Keep It New?

Just follow the three steps and you will never need to require a redo in this lifetime.

The first step is using a premium-quality paint that has primer in it.

Second is to use the sheens according to their qualities like matte on the less interactive areas while glossing on the highly interactive areas.

Third and the last step, when cleaning, use a mild soap and wipe the area with it softly.

And this will do all the work perfectly for you.

Less maintenance and high durability are the features that attract most of the customers.

The Cost Of The Product

The cost depends on the quantity and the availability of the paint in the market.

If we talk about the quantity you can get a discount if you purchase in bulk for the whole house.

For me, per gallon costs around $75 for the premium one in the Aura category.

While the matte sheens are available at $40-$50 of a starting price.

How Does Different Lighting Affect It?

In the morning lights or east facing room night train 1567 appears to be a softer and bluer color and gives a fresh and serene vibe to the ambience.

In the afternoon or west-facing room the color turns into a warm green and feeks more deep.

The artificial lighting makes this color steel-blue enhancing the coziness and the dramatic feel of the interior.
