What Color Is High Park Benjamin Moore?

High Park Benjamin Moore

The color benjamin moore high park cc 620 consists of a herbaceous green color that has subtle gray undertones to it.

This makes this color perfect for a space that is well lit and has broader boundaries.

And no it’s not Hyde Park or Highland park. It is High Park cc 620 or benjamin moore high park 467.

Benjamin Moore High Park hex code is #8C9985 with the RGB values roughly around (140, 153, 133).

High Park stands on the borderline of a pure green and a dark one.

With its low range LRV this can not only make the interior soothing but also stimulate the calmness to your mind.

In bright and natural lighting the green feels lively and more open whereas in the artificial light the gray undertones become more visible, making the interior muted.

This color will offer you depth without looking too heavy on the walls.

Undertones Of Benjamin Moore High Park CC 620

Undertones of a color is what truly defines the real nature of it.

They are the reason a color looks gray, green, yellow or blue.

Those are the prominent undertones that are visible only in certain lighting and spaces.

High park benjamin moore also has several undertones that makes it versatile and perfect for any space.

The primary undertone consists of muted green, the secondary undertone is gray and the final one is blue-gray.

The gray undertone makes High Park feel sophisticated and perfect for the modern house.

To see the blue-gray undertones the position of the house should be in the north which makes the house look moodier and cooler.

LRV of Benjamin Moore High Park

The light reflectance value (LRV) of a color represents the amount of light a color will reflect on the walls when a light shines on it.

The higher the LRV the more the reflection while a lower LRV means a darker color with less reflectance value.

Benjamin Moore High Park (CC-620 or 467) has an LRV of 30.43 which makes it equally balanced with lightness and depth.

It will not make a space dramatically brighter or will absorb all the light leaving it dark.

This color will look bright in the sunlight and moody in the evening or ambience light.

You can use this color in the accent wall, trim, ceilings and in small spaces with enough lighting which can make it richer.

My Personal Review On High Park Benjamin Moore

Your perspective of this color can change the whole interior and vibe of the house making it just like an out of an animation series.

The green house inspiration I got from the movie “When Marnie Was There”.

The bright green room that Marnie had made me get the same one to feel the serenity of color green.

Around that time, I saw High Park by BM at a friend’s place which spoke to me and guaranteed me the house of my dream.

Let’s explore my whole Benjamin Moore High Park Paint Color Review.

First And Final Look

When I first saw this color I thought it was just light green but this color really surprises me with all the undertones and hues.

When I painted one section of my wall, I saw a very rich and flattering color which was making my wall smile the brightest.

When I painted the whole interior, I realised why I chose just this color for my house.

In the morning my house looks prettier than a fairy tale house.

Whereas in the evening or night the true green comes on the surface shifting the mood of the house to more homely.

How It’s Look In Different Lighting

In the daylight, benjamin moore high park cc 620 becomes brighter and truer while you will see a darker and cozier appearance of this color in the night.

The dark green hues of it can make anyone lost in its visual.

In the ambient light, you will be able to see a blue-gray hue of this color which makes it cool and moody.

In warm lighting, the interior looks deep and soothing which can make you feel surrounded by a warm forest.

Maintenance And Durability

Color like high park benjamin moore normally require less cleaning and maintenance because of its ability of hiding small marks and flaws.

If you really have to clean it then use a soft cloth and soap water to gently clean it without any abrasion.

Benjamin moore products come with high quality formulation which make them highly durable with less touch ups.

If you need more protection, less maintenance and durability then go for higher sheens and premium products like regal, aura or premium.

Cost And Availability

The cost varies according to the sheen, product line and the quantity of the paint.

I selected the ben interior paint in semi-gloss finish to add a little shininess in the interior.

Which cost me $61.99 per gallon and I purchased in bulk so I also got an extra discount.

Benjamin Moore products are not sold through big-box stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s.

They’re available only through independent dealers and specialty paint stores like Lewis paint stores, Rossi paint stores or The color house.

High Park Benjamin Moore in the bathroom, delivers a cool, spa-like and elevated feel to the interior.

Keep the walls or the vanity in the high park green and tile in either in white marble or light gray stone.

For the trims, I would suggest white or off white to make it airy and black for the contrast.

For the exterior, High Park with white trims looks open, airy and just picture perfect.

On the roof you can go with dark gray or charcoal to create the contrasting visuals.

Large windows with the same color as the trim makes the house coordinated and harmonized.

Tips Before Choosing The Right Green For Your Home’s Interior

Before purchasing the green paint for your house you need to determine the undertones, lrv, room directions and the right finish.

Every green has different vibes, features and the elements that suit it.

To get the perfect green you need to consider these points in the mind.

1. Understing the Undertones of greens: Every green has an undertone that affects how it appears on the wall.

Gray-green feels modern and muted while yellow-green looks warm and earthy.

On the other hand blue-green feels fresh whereas olive-green appears rich and traditional.

    2. Check the LRV : LRV measures how much light a paint color reflects.

    • LRV higher than 50 will feel light and airy.
    • LRV 30–45 feels balanced and mid-tone.
    • LRV under 30 feels deep and moody.

If your room has limited natural light then darker greens may appear heavier.

In bright rooms, they look richer and dimensional.

    3. Evaluate Your Room’s Lighting: North facing rooms make greens appear cooler and south-facing rooms bring out the warmth in the interior.

Whereas east facing rooms appear brighter in the morning while west facing rooms feel warmer in the afternoon.

    4. Choose the Right Finish: Sheen affects how the color reflects light in the interior.

    • Flat/matte finishes create a subtle look that is perfect for a modern house.
    • Eggshell delivers a slight glow which is ideal for most walls.
    • Satin or semi-gloss increases light reflection and works well for trim and cabinetry

    5. Consider the palette : if your home has an open floor plan then choose a green that can smoothly transit into adjacent walls or rooms.

Make sure that it complements the nearby neutrals and doesn’t feel overly saturated.

    6. Coordinate With Fixed Elements: if your house has fixed elements that can’t be changed such as flooring, countertops and cabinetry, stone and furniture.

Then choose green that will complement these features.

    Conclusion

After our whole review journey, we finally reach a point where you can say High Park Benjamin Moore is the right choice for your interior.

Which can totally match the rhythm and vibes of your personality.

High park benjamin moore is a beautifully balanced green that contains depth and versatility.

Which makes the walls, kitchen cabinets and bathrooms extraordinary and high-end.

What makes High Park stand out is its ability to shift perfectly in different lighting conditions and spaces.

Whereas when paired with black or deep colors the visuals appear to be contrasting.
